Shields & Succession: Aging parents, inherited IRA tax traps, gradual control transfer, family stewardship meetings, and why today’s middle-class millionaire families need to act not wait.
Matt, excellent podcast about “the prison”. It spoke directly to me as I help my wife navigate the path forward for a successful 80 year old retail grocery business. She took over after the death of the founder and then her sister 10months later. Here we are now 6 years later in that “prison”. We have been going through a divestment “process” and we own the real estate in 4/5 locations so your messaging really hit home. Happy to subscribe and pay to learn more
Sandman1 this is exactly the reason I do these open office hours each week with Owen on Monday’s and Matt on Wednesdays, and absolutely we would love to help you in any way we can and hope you will continue to tune in, DM me questions that may help you and others through these live chats, etc. Thanks for subscribing and for commenting and tuning in. I look forward to your future comments and feedback. Chris
